A sweet tradition that celebrates life, love and remembrance.
Pan de Muerto is one of Mexico’s most cherished culinary traditions, enjoyed during Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead). This soft, delicately sweet bread is traditionally shaped with decorative dough pieces representing bones, symbolizing the connection between life and death.
Handmade with love by Erika Striegl, a Mexican artisan baker and pastry chef in Munich, each Pan de Muerto brings an authentic taste of Mexico to this meaningful celebration.
Traditionally shared with family and placed on Día de Muertos altars (ofrendas), Pan de Muerto is more than a sweet bread — it is a beautiful expression of Mexican culture, memory and togetherness.
Available exclusively on 30 and 31 October at Mercado Amigo, Munich.
