Radiant, timeless, and full of artisanal character, the Odilia Yellow Blouse celebrates the rich textile traditions of Oaxaca through exceptional craftsmanship and natural elegance.
Handmade in the community of San Juan del Río, Oaxaca, this versatile blouse features delicate yellow embroidery that beautifully highlights the shoulders and neckline. Its relaxed silhouette and 3/4 sleeves create an effortlessly elegant look, while the adjustable neckline can be worn open for a relaxed feel or tied for a more refined finish.
The creation of each blouse combines two ancestral techniques. The woven panels on the shoulders are crafted on a traditional backstrap loom by artisans from the communities of San Juan Colorado and Cotzocón. These pieces are then carefully assembled and finished with intricate crochet work in San Juan del Río, creating a garment rich in texture, heritage, and craftsmanship.
Made from 100% raw cotton (manta), the blouse is lightweight, breathable, and ideal for warmer days. Its generous cut is designed as a one-size piece that drapes comfortably on different body shapes.
Every Odilia blouse requires approximately three weeks to complete, reflecting the dedication and skill invested in every detail.
More than a blouse, it is a wearable piece of Mexican cultural heritage.
Each piece is handmade and one of a kind. Slight variations in weaving, embroidery, and finishing are part of its authentic artisanal character and should be celebrated as a mark of true craftsmanship.
